Cox Hall Renovation

Emory has been busy this summer renovating Cox Hall for your arrival this fall. Meet the new brands!

Cox Convenience Corner
Everything you need is now in one corner! Cox Convenience Corner (C3) will be providing the most demanded convenience items and grab ‘n go food. No more walking all the way across campus when you run out of toothpaste.

Twisted Taco
Feedback told us that students were looking for a new Tex-Mex dining experience. Twisted Taco will be brought to Cox Hall to provide that. With an extensive menu and customizable options, Twisted Taco provides the variety that students want.  They offer both healthy options and indulgences, using only the freshest ingredients. Twisted Taco is sure to be your Mexican fiesta headquarters.

Top Hat Pizza
We understand that students are on a tight schedule, so we wanted to be sure to offer a highly-convenient location. Top Hat Pizza will be selling New York style pizza by the slice. The pizza will be made in-house using fresh dough and fresh ingredients. For huge slices of pizza, Top Hat Pizza will provide you with a great value.

Dooley’s Grill
Dooley’s Burger is being revamped into the new Dooley’s Grill. Not only are we improving on the quality of the burgers being served, but we will also be providing more variety in the menu. We will be offering more grilling classics – grilled chicken, chicken fingers, etc. Burgers may come, burgers may go; but Dooley lives forever!

D.B.A. Barbecue
While conducting our market research among the Emory community, we heard one thing loud and clear – people wanted barbecue! After concluding that barbecue would be an essential addition to Cox, our decision to go with D.B.A. Barbecue was easy. D.B.A. Barbecue is a chef owned casual neighborhood restaurant located nearby in Virginia-Highland. It consistently receives top reviews and is a popular spot among our student body. With mouthwatering sandwiches and homemade sides, D.B.A. will satisfy your Southern cravings.

Star Ginger
Star Ginger is coming to us from Sacramento, California. Mai Pham, the chef and owner, was born in Saigon and raised in Vietnam and Thailand. Mai and her family fled to the United States in 1975 after the end of the Vietnam War. Star Ginger blends the bold simplicity of Asian street food with exotic flavors drawn from the cuisines of Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. Tantalizing Pan-Asian food does not get much more authentic than this.

Cox Salad Bowl
We wanted you to be in control of your salad and that is what you get with the new Cox Salad Bowl. Salads will be priced by the ounce, allowing you to pick the portion best suited for your appetite. The number of toppings is doubling and new protein, such as grilled chicken and poached salmon, will be available. You may need to grab two bowls!

Deli
Why mess with success? The deli will continue making quality sandwiches using Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. Try our new half-sandwich and soup combo if you’re looking to mix things up.

Freshens
Freshens will be remaining for the near future as your smoothie and frozen yogurt provider.

The Green Bean
We are taking the Green Bean coffee cart out of the cold and rain. Emory’s student-operated, fair-trade coffee provider is now moving to a permanent location in Cox Hall. They will be offering new espresso drinks and fresh pastries and baked goods. Support the only student-run business on Emory's campus in its new location.

    1. Star Ginger offers a variety of vegan options including: Lemongrass Tofu, Veggie of the Day, and Pho with Tofu and Veggies. Twisted Taco has several vegan taco options. The new Cox Salad Bowl has customizable salads. There are two daily soup offerings, one is always vegetarian (and will be labeled when it is vegan.) There are also a variety of vegan grab and go options.
